Quentin is a legal expert, business advisor, and crisis management consultant who possesses a wealth of experience in the sports, entertainment, media and law enforcement industries. With more than 25 years of established business expertise and over 20 years of legal experience, Quentin has set a standard for achieving results with a proven history and successful track record in the legal and business communities.
Quentin is also the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Williams Media and Marketing Group, LLC (“Williams Media”). This California-based media and marketing company, founded in 2002, is dedicated to the development of film and television projects, publishing ventures, and brand strategies for domestic and international products and services.
Prior to launching The Butler Lappert Williams Firm PC and Williams Media, Quentin was President of the North Charleston Lowgators, a National Basketball Association minor league team that was spotlighted during its championship run in an ESPN reality series called "Down Low - Life in the D-League." Before that, he was an executive with the Jacksonville Jaguars as well as the National Football League in New York City.
While with the Jaguars, Quentin negotiated player contracts and supervised several departments in Football Operations. The team was awarded the NFL’s “Most Outstanding Player Development Program” under Quentin’s guidance.
After graduating in the top two percent of his class from Gorton High School in Yonkers (New York), receiving All-State football honors and being offered numerous academic and athletic scholarships from top universities in the country, Quentin attended Boston College on a full football scholarship. In 1987, he received a degree in Economics from Boston College and then clerked with the law firm of Bivona & Cohen, P.C. in New York City for one year before attending St. John’s University School of Law.
In 1991, Quentin graduated from law school with a concentration in Labor Law, and began working as a litigator for Martin, Clearwater & Bell, P.C. (“MCB”) in New York City. He worked at MCB for approximately one year before being appointed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Special Agent where he was recognized by the FBI’s Director for his excellence and dedication as a law enforcement officer.
Quentin worked with the FBI for four years before being appointed to the position of Assistant United States Attorney in the District of Connecticut. As a federal prosecutor with the United States Attorney's Office, Quentin worked in both the Violent and White Collar Crimes sections in the New Haven Office.
A strong community leader and mentor, Q is an advocate for self-empowerment and service to others. He is a member of the Executive Committees for The Ronald H. Brown Center for Civil Rights and Economic Development at St. John’s University School of Law and Seton Hall University’s Center for Leadership Development. As an in demand keynote speaker, Quentin has addressed business, political and community leaders at events worldwide.
Quentin and his wife, Brenda, have been married since 2003. He was born on the island of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands and raised in New York City and Yonkers.
